More About WWCEC
The Mission of the Western Washington County Employer Council…Is the link between the Business Community, the Employment Department, and the Workforce; providing a source of information, education, and support.  Our goals are:
  1. Increase public awareness of Employment Department services
  2. Increase Employment Department awareness of Employer needs and requirements
  3. Continue education services in our community
 
  
Western Washington County Employer Council also:
  • Hosted the Oregon Employer 2004 Annual State Conference for Business
  • Hosts of the Westside LINK Job & Career Fair.
  • WWCEC host a seminar series from September through May on various employment related topics and issues.  All seminars are held at the Reserve Vineyard and Golf Club, Aloha.
  • Strong relationship with the Washington County Veteran’s Units out of the Hillsboro and Beaverton Employment Departments.
  • Have hosted a variety of fundraising events such as golf tournaments, raffles and rummage sales
  • Award vocational scholarships to working adults in Western Washington County
  • Award vocational scholarships to High School graduating youth who are not going to a four year college.
  • Members of the Forest Grove Chamber, Hillsboro Chamber and Cornelius Chamber
  • We have been recognized with the following honors:
  • OEC’s “Council of the Year”
  • Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs
  • Certificate of Appreciate from US Dept Labor – Veterans’ Employment and Training Services
  • Certificate as a strong contributor to the 15th Annual Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce Auction Sole Sponsor for the Pacific University Summer Job Fair
